Michigan’s General Schedule 11 also explains why the underlying record may remain available when no web row exists. Booking and control logs are scheduled through the end of the calendar year plus seven years. An inmate jacket can include booking cards, release forms, transfer papers, court documents, bonds, warrants, and a mugshot, with a scheduled retention of release plus ten years.
Those periods are record-disposition rules, not promises that each item will be disclosed. Privacy, law-enforcement, security, and other lawful exemptions may still apply. A narrow request for the named person’s existing release entry is more useful than a demand that the county compile a public list it does not maintain.
If the event instead belongs to MDOC, direct the formal request to MDOC. County Administration cannot produce a state parole order, discharge record, or time computation it does not possess. Match the request to the agency that created the record.
